Acer palmatum 'Beni shichihenge' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Beni shichihenge' Variegated Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Probably the best variegated maple in our collection. New growth emerges as a show stopping collage of red, pink, orange, cream and green and holding these beautiful colors well into the summer before finally changing to a nice cream and green. Adding to the mystic is this approximate translation of Beni shichihenge, red variegated ghost that changes.  Fall color is a distinctive shade of orange. 'Beni shichihenge' grows as a beautiful vase shaped tree when young becoming more round topped with age. The overall appearance is open and graceful. 10 year size:  Height:  12-14 Feet    Width:  8-10 FeetSpring Color: Red, Pink, Orange, Cream and GreenSummer Color: Green, Cream, PinkFall Color: OrangeSun Tolerance: Full SunPlanting: Elevated, Well Drained Soil

Acer palmatum 'Omure yama' - mapleridgenursery Acer palmatum 'Omure yama' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Omure yama' Green Japanese Maple
from $39.00
When young, Acer palmatum 'Omure yama' may develop a leader and grow up, but as the tree reaches maturity the long slender new growth cascades down, giving the tree the weeping look that it is known for. Some growers stake 'Omure yama' when young to help it attain initial height from which to weep from. Plants that never develop a leader become wide weeping mounds not much different than the growth habit of many dissectums. I have heard other authors claim that this or that variety has the best fall color of any Japanese maple. I would not have the audacity to claim that about any cultivar but year in and year out I would say the reds, oranges and yellows of  'Omure yama' in fall are at least equal to any other variety we grow.10 Year Size:  Height: 6-10 Feet Width: 8-10 FeetSpring Color: GreenSummer Color: GreenFall Color: Orange RedSun Tolerance: PartialPlanting: Elevated, Well Drained Soil

Acer palmatum 'White Peaches' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'White Peaches' Reticulated Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘White Peaches’ is a heavily reticulated Japanese maple. ‘White Peaches’ emerges in spring with brilliant white leaves that appear to be dipped in red. These red tips go away rather quickly, giving way to the bright white spring leaves. The white leaves are contrasted by the bright green veining on each leaf. While the colors do fade by the summer time, there is still quite a bit of reticulated variegation left on the leaves throughout the summer. The leaves then turn yellow to orange in the fall. 10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet Width: 4-6 feet

Acer palmatum 'Yama nishiki' Variegated Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum 'Yama nishiki' Variegated Japanese Maple is an elegant upright Japanese maple known for its striking white reticulated leaves, which are intricately veined with green. This unique leaf pattern creates the effect of snow-covered mountain peaks, a nod to the tree's name, meaning "Snow Peak" in Japanese. This variegation is outstanding but is not always consistent and is not visible at all times throughout the year. During fall, the foliage transforms into vibrant shades of orange and red, adding seasonal interest. At maturity, Yama Nishiki typically grows to a height of 8 to 10 feet, making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens or landscapes where its delicate beauty can be appreciated.

Acer palmatum 'Sophia' Rare Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘Sophia’ is a new introduction by Maple Ridge Nursery that was discovered as a chance seedling. ‘Sophia’ is still under observation, but there is no doubt that this is a special Japanese maple tree. ‘Sophia’ is a matsamurae type Japanese maple with thin leaves with lobes that are wider at the base. These leaves emerge in spring with a pale orange color and defined veining. As temperatures increase, the leaves turn to an attractive olive green. The leaves of ‘Sophia’ darken to a maroon color and then eventually a fiery bright red color in the fall. ‘Sophia’ is a very fast and strong grower. Acer palmatum ‘Sophia’ was named after my oldest daughter. 10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet Width: 4-6 feet

This bright red color is especially contrasted by yellow-orange veining. ‘Phoenix’ is a member of the Corallinum group of Japanese maples that all typically leaf out a spectacular red before turning green for most of the spring and summer. Like the rest of the maples in this group, ‘Phoenix’ will also often have red new growth in the summer to really contrast off of the green leaves. Fall color is then orange to red. 10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet Width: 4-6 feet

Acer palmatum 'Bonfire' - mapleridgenursery Acer palmatum 'Bonfire' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Bonfire' Corallinum Japanese Maple
from $39.00
The first 4-6 weeks of spring there are very few Japanese Maples that can compete with the brilliant crimson red color of  'Bonfire' foliage. Unfortunately the spring color is short lived and turns first bronze and then green as summer nears. The growth habit is short and stocky, almost as wide as tall. Fall color in the south is usually bright red sometimes leaning toward orange-red. There seems to be some confusion with the similarity between 'Bonfire', 'Akaji nishiki' and 'Seigai'. It seems that these are three different plants, 'Bonfire' and 'Akaji Nishiki' leaves are practically the same but 'Bonfire' is shorter and denser. 'Seigai' has a different leaf shape and is much darker green in summer.Ten year size: Height: 5-7 feet    Width: 4-6 feetSpring Color: Red Summer Color: GreenFall Color: Orange-Red

Acer palmatum 'Ichigyoji' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Ichigyoji' Green Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘Ichigyoji’ is a green upright Japanese maple with large, broad leaves. ‘Ichigyoji’ is often considered the sister tree to ‘Osakazuki’ as they have many similarities including their large, broad leaves and bold, green color. ‘Ichigyoji’ also leafs out a pale orange color in the early spring similar to its sister, ‘Osakazuki’. The similarities don’t end with the leaves. The branching structures of these two trees are also similar in that ‘Ichigyoji’ shares ‘Osakazuki’s strong, stiff branches that give the tree an elegant shape that is endearing for a Japanese maple. The biggest difference in the two trees is the fall color. ‘Osakazuki’ is known for its bright reddish orange fall color that makes the tree look like it has been set ablaze. ‘Ichigyoji’ has a similarly stunning fall display, but it has a combination of yellows and oranges that create a vibrant, neon orange appearance. ‘Ichigyoji’ is a medium growing Japanese maple that should reach about 15 feet tall in 10 years.10 Year Size: Height: 14-16 feet Width: 6-8 feet
