Acer palmatum 'Firecracker' is a red dwarf Japanese maple with lacy leaves. 'Firecracker' emerges in the spring with bright red leaves. These leaves will fade somewhat in the summer before turning bright red again in the fall. 'Firecracker' is a dwarf Japanese maple that will grow with a weeping habit.  10 Year Size: Height: 4-6 feet   Width: 4-6 feet 

Acer palmatum 'Mirte' is a cross between an Acer palmatum and an Acer shirasawanum. This full moon hybrid Japanese maple emerges in the spring with a dark brownish red color with light green veins. These leaves will transition to a very attractive bronze or copper color in the summer. The leaves eventually turn a bright orange in the fall. 'Mirte' is a very attractive and unusual cultivar that will add a different kind of color and texture to the garden. 10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet   Width: 6-8 feet 

Acer palmatum 'Pendula Julian' is a very pendulous Japanese maple and benefits from being grafted higher or staking when young. Leaves emerge rusty red to more of a pink red depending on sun exposure but always with a green mid-vein. In early spring the abundant blooms put on quite a show for a maple. In cooler climates rusty red color extends well into the summer but in hotter climates 'Pendula Julian’ fades to an attractive olive green by mid June. Fall color is fantastic and can vary from bright fiery red to red with yellows and oranges mixed. 10 Year Size: Height: 3-4 feet   Width: 4-6 feet

Cryptomeria japonica 'Tansu' is a dwarf Japanese cedar with an irregular shaped upright habit. 'Tansu' will have a dense conical growth habit as it matures. The foliage is dark green and clumpy. This is an attractive dwarf conifer that is perfect for Japanese gardens.  10 Year Size: Height: 2-3 feet   Width: 1-2 feet

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Gitte' is a dwarf variety of hinoki cypress with long stringy foliage. This foliage is a golden yellow color and occasionally fasciates at the tips. 'Gitte' will develop into a dense, cushion like shape at maturity. 10 Year Size: Height: 1-2 feet   Width: 1-2 feet

Pinus parviflora 'Nellie D' is a dwarf Japanese White Pine with a small stature and rounded shape. 'Nellie D' has short, blue green needles with a slight twist. This small little pine is perfect for rock gardens or other small locations in the garden. 10 Year Size: Height: 2-3 feet   Width: 2-3 feet 

Picea orientalis 'Reynolds' is a very rare dwarf oriental spruce. 'Reynolds' was originally found as a witches broom. 'Reynolds' is a very rare conifer and there isn't much known about this cultivar.    

Pinus thunbergii 'Whisky Hill' is a Japanese Black Pine that grows with a dense and compact habit. 'Whisky Hill' has an upright form that grows to be taller than wide. The needles on this Japanese Black Pine are a solid, emerald green. These needles are also medium in length and thickness. The foliage is reminiscent of most other Japanese Black Pines such as the popular 'Thunderhead' pine.  10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet   Width: 4-6 feet 

Acer palmatum 'Red Flash' is an upright Japanese maple with fantastic red color especially in the spring. The red color darkens during the summer months. The fall color of 'Red Flash' is a bright, fiery red. The picture is green due to heavy shade. 10 Year Size: Height: 8-10 feet   Width: 4-6 feet 

Acer palmatum 'Red Spider' is a linearlobum Japanese maple with long thin lobes to the skinny leaves. These thin leaves have very good red color in the spring. It is a much lighter red than the majority of red Japanese maples. These leaves then fade to a burgundy or green color in the summer. Fall color is a bright crimson red. 'Red Spider' like many linearlobum Japanese maples has a bad habit of reverting meaning that the thin leaves will revert back to a more traditional broad leaf. Branches with reverted broad leaves should be pruned out to prevent this issue from taking over the majority of the tree. 'Red Spider' grows into a beautiful, round topped tree with a very nice, full canopy.  10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet   Width: 8-10 feet

‘Shira Red’ is a Bucholz and Bucholz introduction may possibly be a hybrid between Acer palmatum and Acer shirasawanum.  Although the color is more palmatum like this cool plant holds its seeds erect and the leaves just have a shirasawanum look to them. Spring color is bright red then hardens off to a dark maroon color. In summer the sturdy foliage fist turns bronze and in hotter climate eventually turns green.
