Acer palmatum ‘Oridino nishiki’ is a medium size upright growing Japanese maple with incredible variegated color. Some leaves on ‘Oridino nishiki’ may have green, white or pink, or sometimes all three. Under perfect conditions, this can be one of the most incredible Japanese maples in cultivation. Unfortunately, these perfect conditions don’t often exist and this variegation is often lost. In our experience, ‘Oridino nishiki’ is usually a green tree with about 1-5% of the leaves displaying variegation. ‘Oridino nishki’ is of course still a tree worth having as the variegation that it does have is almost unmatched. Another unique characteristic of ‘Oridino nishiki’ is that the bark often has long stripes of reds and oranges, adding even more interest to this great tree. 10 Year Size: Height: 12-14 feet Width: 6-8 feet

Acer palmatum ‘Villa taranto’ is a linearlobum type Japanese maple with long, skinny leaves. These leaves go through a transition of color from peach to red to orange in the spring, green in the summer, and finally an orange-red in the fall.

The small deeply dissected leaves of this slow growing plant are as delicate as any other variety. Displaying bright red in spring, the color becomes darker in summer before turning green. Fall color is a very attractive deep red. Plant in full sun for best colors. 'Red Spider Web' is amazingly sun and heat tolerant even in hotter climates but does benefit from some shade in extreme environments.10 years Size: Height: 2-4 feet Width: 3-5 feet

Introduced by the great Harold Johnson of Tallassee, Alabama who truly helped spread the love of maples throughout the Southeastern U.S. and named for the love of his life, his wife Johnnie. 'Itame nibluki' is a wonderful variegated maple with deeply divided leaves. The variegation is cream and green with each lobe appearing to be dipped in or streaked with lipstick red paint creating a fantastic display for the garden. While some variegated maples seem to be slow or delicate 'Itame nibluki' is quite vigorous. 10 Year Size:  Height: 8-10 Feet   Width: 5-6 Feet

Acer palmatum ‘Hiryu’ is a very interesting Japanese maple with unique foliage. The leaves of ‘Hiryu’ have a thin, claw-like shape that is unlike any other Japanese maple. These strange leaves also have creamy white variegation along the edges of the lobes. The fall color on ‘Hiryu’ is a stunning array of yellows and oranges. 10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet Width: 6-8 feet

Acer palmatum ‘Harold’s Select’ is an upright growing red Japanese maple with subtle reticulated variegation to the leaves. This reticulation is most notable in the spring. The leaves of ‘Harold’s Select’ have jagged edges and nice red color that maintains throughout the seasons. Fall color is a bright red.10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet Width: 4-6 feet

Acer buergerianum ‘Mino yatsabusa’ is an awesome, dwarf trident maple. ‘Mino yatsabusa’ has very thin leaves for a trident maple. ‘Mino yatsabusa’ grows very compact and will have a short dense habit as it grows. ‘Mino yatsabusa’ has light green, glossy leaves in the spring and summer before putting on a show with orange and red fall colors. ‘Mino yatsabusa’ is one of our favorite trident maples and is an excellent tree for bonsai or small gardens.

Acer palmatum 'Ever Red' is one of our favorite lace leaf varieties. What makes 'Ever Red so great is the color changes it goes through during the season and the sturdy growth habit. Starting with silver hairs on the leaves when they first come out in spring, then the wonderful red color through spring and early summer, changing to a nice dark green in summer and then flaming red in fall. ‘Ever Red’ is a truly wonderful maple. 10 Year Size: Height: 4-6 Feet Width: 6-8 Feet

Acer palmatum 'Dixie Morning' has some of the most unusual leaves that you will ever see on a Japanese Maple. Shaped almost like a hybrid between a broad and lace leaf maple with subtle variegation, no two leaves on this tree are exactly alike. ‘Dixie Morning’ has slight cream variegation on the leaves that give it the appearance of a dewy summer morning.10 Year Size: Height: 8-10 feet Width: 4-6 feet

Acer japonicum ‘Yama Kagi’ is a large leaf Acer japonicum. Leaves emerge lime green in early spring before darkening for the rest of spring and summer. Leaves on ‘Yama Kagi’ are noticeably more jagged than most other Acer japonicum maples. These serrated leaves turn bright orange to red in fall. ‘Yama Kagi’ is a large growing Japanese maple tree that can reach up to 16 feet high at maturity.10 Year Size: Height: 14-16 feet Width: 6-8 feet

Acer palmatum ‘Akane’ is a stunning Japanese maple known primarily for its showy orange spring foliage with pinkish tones. These colors will transition to yellow and eventually a light green by summer time. ‘Akane’ puts on another show in the fall with bright orange foliage. 10 Year Size: Height: 8-10 feet Width: 4-6 feet

‘Ao shime no chi’ is an interesting linearilobum type Japanese maple that may have 3, 5 or even 7 lobed leaves. In early spring the lobes are quite narrow becoming more broad as summer arrives. Late season new growth has decidedly wider lobes and may even appear palmate. The overall shape of the tree is quite graceful becoming  just about as broad as it is tall with maturity. 'Ao shime no uchi' is a great plant for containers and tolerates sun very well, although it is best when given a break from a full days sun in hotter climates. Acer palmatum ‘Matsukaze’ is an excellent Japanese maple with wonderful spring color. The highly deeply divided leaves emerge light red to bronze in the spring. These leaves fade to an attractive green for the rest of the summer. Fall color is then a brilliant red. 10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet Width: 6-8 feet

Thuja occidentalis ‘Holmstrup’ is an attractive, dwarf form of Arborvitae. ‘Holmstrup’ only reaches about 6 feet tall at maturity and stays quite narrow as well. ‘Holmstrup’ is an excellent tree for small spaces in the landscape or as the focal point of a smaller garden. ‘Holmstrup’ has soft, attractive green foliage that almost appears to spiral around the central trunk. 10 Year Size: Height: 4-6 feet Width: 1-2 feet
