Acer palmatum 'Kasigiyama' is a Japanese maple with reticulated variegation. 'Kasigiyma' has dark red leaves in the spring with brighter red centers and contrasting veins. These leaves will fade to a duller burgundy or green in the summer and maintain the reticulated look with the contrasting veins. 'Kasigiyama' then turns a bright red in the fall.

In summer leaves hold a very nice deep green. Fall color is bright orange. The fall color of this interesting new Japanese maple variety is mostly a bright yellow that really stands out in the landscape.

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Green Cushion' is a dwarf variety of Hinoki cypress. 'Green Cushion' is a very slow and small growing conifer. 'Green cushion' grows into a small bun shape that will look somewhat like a pin cushion. This is probably the smallest plant we grow at Maple Ridge Nursery. 'Green cushion' has soft emerald green foliage that is very attractive. This is a great dwarf conifer for rock gardens.

'Aurora' has soft foliage typical of a hinoki cypress and really shines in the landscape with its yellow color.

The 3 long lobes on the leaves of ‘Naruto Kaede’ all tend to curl inward so that both the dark green top of the leaf and the glossy back of the leaf are visible giving the tree a very unique striking appearance. This effect becomes even more dramatic in full sun which causes the leaves to curl even more. This look prompts some visitors to the garden to suggest that this plant could use more water. 'Naruto kaede' is fairly fast growing and vase shaped at least when young. Older specimens can reach 60 feet.
