This is one of the most extraordinary pines in existence and is sure to stand out in any garden. ‘Tanima no yuki’ is most known for its white variegation on younger needles, but the occasional pink cones are also quite the show stopper. ‘Tanima no yuki’ translates from Japanese to Snow of the Valley, which is a fitting name for this showy little tree.

Pinus parviflora ‘Tenysu kazu’ is a dwarf Japanese white pine with golden variegation to otherwise green foliage. ‘Tenysu kazu’ is a dense, upright growing pine that shouldn’t reach more than 4 feet at maturity. The golden color is best displayed in nearly full sun situations. ‘Tenysu kazu’ is also known for its small, attractive cones. ‘Tenysu kazu’ is most likely synonymous with Pinus Parviflora ‘Goldylocks’, however ‘Tenysu kazu’ is believed to be the proper name. There is enough conflicting information though that we keep both varieties labelled separately. Acer palmatum 'Little Red' emerges in the spring with stunning red leaves. The leaves of 'Little Red' are small and reminiscent of other red Japanese maples discovered as witches' brooms. The small leaves fade to burgundy in the summer and eventually turn a stunning bright red in the fall.
