Acer palmatum 'White Peaches' Reticulated Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘White Peaches’ is a heavily reticulated Japanese maple. ‘White Peaches’ emerges in spring with brilliant white leaves that appear to be dipped in red. These red tips go away rather quickly, giving way to the bright white spring leaves. The white leaves are contrasted by the bright green veining on each leaf. While the colors do fade by the summer time, there is still quite a bit of reticulated variegation left on the leaves throughout the summer. The leaves then turn yellow to orange in the fall. 10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet Width: 4-6 feet
Acer palmatum 'Sophia' Rare Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum ‘Sophia’ is a new introduction by Maple Ridge Nursery that was discovered as a chance seedling. ‘Sophia’ is still under observation, but there is no doubt that this is a special Japanese maple tree. ‘Sophia’ is a matsamurae type Japanese maple with thin leaves with lobes that are wider at the base. These leaves emerge in spring with a pale orange color and defined veining. As temperatures increase, the leaves turn to an attractive olive green. The leaves of ‘Sophia’ darken to a maroon color and then eventually a fiery bright red color in the fall. ‘Sophia’ is a very fast and strong grower. Acer palmatum ‘Sophia’ was named after my oldest daughter. 10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet Width: 4-6 feet

During fall, the foliage transforms into vibrant shades of orange and red, adding seasonal interest. Acer palmatum 'Phoenix' Corallinum Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Just like a Phoenix rises from the ashes, Acer palmatum ‘Phoenix’ rises out of dormancy with bright red leaves in the spring. This bright red color is especially contrasted by yellow-orange veining. ‘Phoenix’ is a member of the Corallinum group of Japanese maples that all typically leaf out a spectacular red before turning green for most of the spring and summer. Like the rest of the maples in this group, ‘Phoenix’ will also often have red new growth in the summer to really contrast off of the green leaves. Acer palmatum 'Bonfire' Corallinum Japanese Maple
from $39.00
The first 4-6 weeks of spring there are very few Japanese Maples that can compete with the brilliant crimson red color of 'Bonfire' foliage. Unfortunately the spring color is short lived and turns first bronze and then green as summer nears. The growth habit is short and stocky, almost as wide as tall. Fall color in the south is usually bright red sometimes leaning toward orange-red. There seems to be some confusion with the similarity between 'Bonfire', 'Akaji nishiki' and 'Seigai'. It seems that these are three different plants, 'Bonfire' and 'Akaji Nishiki' leaves are practically the same but 'Bonfire' is shorter and denser. 'Seigai' has a different leaf shape and is much darker green in summer.Ten year size: Height: 5-7 feet Width: 4-6 feetSpring Color: Red Summer Color: GreenFall Color: Orange-Red

Acer palmatum 'Green Hornet' Green Dwarf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
'Green Hornet' is unusually fast growing for a lace leaf maple and because of this it can benefit greatly from pruning or training when young to get it started in the right direction. Shoots on newly grafted plants may grow 2 feet or more the first year. As the plant ages its vigorous growth becomes an asset creating a graceful plant with long arching branches. Spring growth is lime green sometimes with orange margins when placed in more sun, however at least partial shade is preferred in hotter climates. Fall color is stunning and bright red which is quite rare for green dissectums which usually display yellow to orange fall color. 10 Year Size: Height: 4-6 Feet Width: 7-9 FeetSpring Color: Lime GreenSummer Color: GreenFall Color: RedSun Tolerance: PartialPlanting: Elevated, Well Drained Soil
Acer palmatum 'Ichigyoji' Green Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘Ichigyoji’ is a green upright Japanese maple with large, broad leaves. ‘Ichigyoji’ is often considered the sister tree to ‘Osakazuki’ as they have many similarities including their large, broad leaves and bold, green color. ‘Ichigyoji’ also leafs out a pale orange color in the early spring similar to its sister, ‘Osakazuki’. The similarities don’t end with the leaves. The branching structures of these two trees are also similar in that ‘Ichigyoji’ shares ‘Osakazuki’s strong, stiff branches that give the tree an elegant shape that is endearing for a Japanese maple. The biggest difference in the two trees is the fall color. ‘Osakazuki’ is known for its bright reddish orange fall color that makes the tree look like it has been set ablaze. ‘Ichigyoji’ has a similarly stunning fall display, but it has a combination of yellows and oranges that create a vibrant, neon orange appearance. ‘Ichigyoji’ is a medium growing Japanese maple that should reach about 15 feet tall in 10 years.10 Year Size: Height: 14-16 feet Width: 6-8 feet
Acer palmatum 'Washi-no-o' Green Lace Leaf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
The leaf of 'Washi-no-o’ is a little more coarse than some dissectums and the margins of each lobe are cut more regularly and less deep than most dissectums giving it a very unique texture. This mounding shrub type maple tolerates more sun than most green lace leafs. I have even grown this cultivar in full sun in Atlanta, Georgia but some shade would be appreciated. Fall color, which is always spectacular if sometimes a little later than some other maples, is usually bright yellow, although sometimes in sunnier locations the yellow will be mixed with orange.10 year size: Height: 3-4 Feet Width: 5-7 FeetSpring Color: GreenSummer Color: GreenFall Color: YellowSun Tolerance: PartialPlanting: Elevated, Well Drained Soil

Acer palmatum 'Okushimo' Green Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum 'Okushimo' was listed as early as 1710 in Japan. This old cultivar with a name that means pepper and salt, definitely has a place in the modern landscape. Leaves emerge chartreuse in spring with bright red petioles, before turning darker green and displaying cool little dimples all over the leaves. Its these dimples that reminded the Japanese of salt and pepper. Summer turns the leaves much darker and they begin to curl inward at the edges of the little sharp lobes. The distinctive green curled leaves of 'Okushimo' give it an ability to contrast just right with other plants in the garden and the fact that it is so decidedly vase shaped with most of its width above head height means that it can be tucked into corners and between paths or next to sidewalks. We do suggest that you plant 'Okushimo' in partial shade in hotter climates. The great fall color ranges from yellow to orange and even red.
