Pinus strobus ‘Horsford’ is an excellent little dwarf selection of Eastern White Pine. ‘Horsford’ has a dense growth habit that results in a tight, flat dwarf. ‘Horsford’ has small, blue-green needles that are very attractive in the landscape. ‘Horsford’ is the perfect little white pine for rock gardens or as a companion plant in a larger landscape. 10 Year Size: Height: 1-2 feet Width: 1-2 feet

'Shojo nomura' means "beautiful red faced monkey" and this vivid image seems to fit this wonderful small tree. Decidedly upright, 'Shojo nomura' emerges dark purple almost black in early spring but later growth is decidely red and seems to be more red than purple most of the season. It holds its color in our gardens as long as any upright palmatum we grow and if it does fade to green in very hot years it never bronzes out like other red cultivars. Also it seems to hold it's color better in shade than most varieties. Brilliant effects can be obtained by planting this tree where its translucent leaves can be back lit by the morning or evening sun. Fall color is red and usually outstanding. Acer palmatum 'Mama fu' is a fantastic variegated Japanese maple with bright pink variegation. This variegation is similar to 'Butterfly' but even brighter. 'Mama fu' has small leaves and fantastic color. Fall color is orange.  10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet   Width: 4-6 feet

Acer palmatum 'Daidai haru' is a fantastic Japanese maple with bright yellow foliage in the spring. The color is so beautiful in the spring and even has some orange hues. Acer palmatum ‘Beni gasa’ is an upright growing Japanese maple with large, pointed leaves. These leaves come out in spring a pinkish red color. This light reddish color with turn to a burgundy, then eventually green in the summer. Acer palmatum ‘Hanezu Hagoromo’ has a very unique leaf shape that categorizes this tree as a Sessilifolium Japanese maple. All Japanese maples in this group are known for their small, feathery shaped leaves. These oddly shaped leaves are yellow in the spring and light green in the summer. Pinus densiflora ‘Low Glow’ is a Japanese Red Pine with an extremely dense habit. True to its name, ‘Low Glow’ grows very close to the ground and will only reach about 1 or 2 feet tall at maturity. The growth habit of this short pine is very compact and will form a short and wide mound at maturity. ‘Disscetum Nigrum’ is known for the silver hairs covering the emerging foliage in early spring,  this old cultivar is a great addition to any garden. Although originally found in Japan, 'Dissectum Nigrum' was named in the Netherlands in 1938. Spring color is dark red and holds well into the summer in most areas but does bronze before turning an attractive olive green rather quickly in hot climates. Fall color is bright red. Acer palmatum 'Nishiki yamato' is a fast growing Japanese maple that develops rough rough bark similar to a pine tree as it ages. 'Nishiki yamato' has bright green leaves in the spring that darken to a solid green in the summer. These leaves then turn to a bright orange to red in the fall. Acer shirasawanum ‘6910’ is a highly desirable and sought after tree that has great yellow green color in early spring becoming a nice medium green in summer. Fall is a blast of yellow orange and red. 6910 tolerates the heat and humidity of warmer climates very well even in full sun in most of its range. Acer palmatum ‘Frosted Purple’ is reticulated Japanese maple with outstanding color particularly in the spring. ‘Frosted Purple’ is similar to the Japanese maples in the “Ghost” series in that it has reticulated variegation and the unique, jagged edges to the leaves. ‘Frosted Purple’ comes out a very light purple color in the spring. This color is much brighter than that of ‘Purple Ghost’ or several other reticulated Japanese maples. This color dulls in the summer, but the reticulation typically holds. Acer palmatum 'Black Lace' is a Japanese maple with dark red leaves that are so dark they almost appear black. These dark red leaves have deeply divided lobes and serrated edges. 'Black Lace' has dark red leaves in the spring that will fade to a lighter burgundy in the summer. 'Black Lace' will then turn a bright red in the fall. This mounding form of maple with adds a little something different to the garden. It is fairly rare to see a maple with this growth habit that does not have dissected leaves. Growing slightly upright when young 'Jiro shidare' which means white cascading soon becomes spreading and then quite pendulous with age. Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Nana Lutea’ is a dwarf golden Hinoki Cypress that is a definite must have for every garden. The flat sprays of compact tight yellow foliage give this plant a wonderful texture and color that contrasts well with other plants in the garden. The more sun 'Nana Lutea' receives the brighter yellow the foliage but some shade is required in hotter climates.
