Acer japonicum 'Emmett's Pumpkin'
‘Emmett’s Pumpkin’ has some of the largest leaves of any Japanese Maple. New leaves in spring emerge yellow green with a bronze overlay. Later the bronze fades leaving the foliage light to medium green for summer. As the temperature cools, 'Emmett's Pumpkin' turns varying shades of orange and red. The combination of leaf shape and Fall color make 'Emmett's Pumpkin' one of the most aptly named Japanese Maple varieties there is.
