One Valentine’s Day, Elizabeth and Matthew were headed out for what seemed like a regular Valentines date. The night began as they ate dinner at their favorite restaurant, Silo Steakhouse. Elizabeth was dressed in Matthew’s favorite mahogany dress with black lace. During dinner, Matthew was heavy with anticipation for what was to come. Finally, when the time was right, he got down on one knee and began, “Elizabeth, when we first met, I knew you were more than just a hot blonde at a bonfire, but my soulmate and my own little gem. The night on the berrima bridge when you could only see my shadow and jokingly called me your dark knight, I knew I’d rather dai than live without you. You embrace life with such jubilee and fascination of all things. I love you so much. Will you marry me?’ He held out a beautiful ring with a diamond surrounded by a few garnet stones- her grandparents birthstones. In that moment, Elizabeth felt overwhelmed with emotion and exclaimed “Yes!” in a heartbeat. The happily engaged couple had a merry celebration. Elizabeth also felt the spirit of her grandparents. She knew her grandparents adored Matthew and would be so excited for them and felt the presence of Cecilia, her grandma ghost and Jim’s memory surround her. She nearly forgot to give Matthew her Valentine’s Day gift- a gift card to their favorite nursery- Maple Ridge! After dinner, Elizabeth had booked an appointment to go shopping around the Japanese Maples and Conifers at Maple Ridge Nursery. He picked out several on his wishlist and it was a Valentine’s Day to remember!
