Acer palmatum 'Monticello Gardens' Red Dwarf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘Monticello Gardens’ is a lace leaf Japanese maple with a weeping, sprawling habit. There are some red Japanese maples that hold their red color well in the summer and then there is ‘Monticello Gardens’. This tree stays red all the time. ‘Monticello Gardens’ is red in the spring, it is red in the summer and then it is, of course, red in the fall. I imagine if it wasn’t deciduous, it would find a way to be red in the winter as well. ‘Monticello Gardens’ is the perfect Japanese maple for the people that don’t want their red Japanese maple to lose its color in the summer.10 Year Size: Height: 3-5 feet Width: 4-6 feet

'Moonfire' also tolerates full sun and maintains it's color into the hot Georgia summer as well as any upright variety we grow. The foliage of 'Moonfire' comes out dark purple in spring but tends to turn more red as summer nears, except in more shady locations where the color remains more purple. Acer palmatum 'Noel' Variegated Corallinum Japanese Maple
from $49.00
Acer palmatum 'Noel' is a variegated Japanese maple from the corallinum category of Japanese maples. Like many corallinum type Japanese Maples 'Noel' is bright red in the early spring. 'Noel' might even have the brightest red spring color of any of the corallinum type Japanese maples. What makes 'Noel' even more unique is the splashes of pink variegation that show out across much of the foliage. This bright red with pink variegation gives 'Noel' one of the best spring displays of any Japanese maple. By summer the red leaves fade to an emerald green and maintain the splashes of pink. The leaves then turn bright red again for fall. This is a newer variety for us, but has quickly become one of our very favorite Japanese maples 10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet   Width: 6-8 feet

Acer palmatum 'Nuresagi' Red Japanese Maple
from $39.00
'Nuresagi' also known as, the 'Wet Heron' maple is very fast growing especially when young. Younger plants tend to put on vertical growth faster than most varieties we grow, sometimes running out 3-4 feet upright leaders in one season. Of course it does not grow at this rate every year. The long leaders will spend some time filling out before sending out more vertical growth. Very nice white striations also appear on the bark of older wood. The name 'Wet Heron' comes from the blue cast created by silver pubescence covering the deep red leaves when they emerge in spring. This reminded the Japanese of  the 19th century, of a wet heron. 'Nuresagi' was listed in nursery catalogs as early as 1882.  10 Year size: Height:  18-20 Feet   Width:  6-8 Feet Spring Color: Burgundy Summer Color: Burgundy Fall Color: Red Sun Tolerance: Full Planting: Elevated, Well Drained Soil Our 1 Gallon and 3 Gallon sizes are available for shipping and in store pickup. Acer palmatum 'Orangeola' Dwarf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum 'Orangeola' is a Weeping Dwarf Japanese Maple that Changes Personality All Year Long Acer palmatum 'Orangeola' is one of the fastest growing weeping dwarf Japanese maple varieties there is, but it still does not attain height very quickly. 'Orangeola' has a very pendulous habit and will have quite the waterfall look as it grows. 'Orangeola' can be a fast growing weeping Japanese maple especially when young which can create long shoots of weeping branches. This growth eventually helps 'Orangeola' develop into a low mounding Japanese maple that is a great for corners and centerpieces. Acer palmatum 'Orangeola' is a great weeping dwarf Japanese maple that changes personality all season long. It emerges in the spring with heavily dissected leaves that have tones of green and orange in early spring  and as the sun works it's magic on the foliage it quickly turns brick red. This red color holds into the early summer. As spring turns into summer the older leaves start to slowly turn green, this process happens over a number of weeks during which the leaves appear molted with infused colors of green and purple washed across each leaf. About the time the entire plant becomes green in mid to late summer 'Orangeola' decides it is time to grow again, putting out red new growth that lays over the older foliage. Then in fall it really puts on a show with traffic stopping bright orange-red leaves. 'Orangeola' does extremely well in hotter climates and can be grown in sun or shade. More red colors will be attained in sunnier locations, but 'Orangeola' will grow well in shade as well. 'Orangeola' will grow well in zones 5 through 9 and will have different effects in different climates. What is the 10 Year Size of Acer palmatum 'Orangeola'? from $39.00
One of the older dissectums in cultivation in Europe having been grown for well over 100 years. It is still popular today although competition from varieties that hold color longer into summer has caused production to decrease.  Emerging green dusted with red in shady areas to a rusty red in more sun, 'Ornatum' forms a large graceful shrub when mature. While very heat tolerant 'Ornatum' does prefer light shade in hot climates.
