Acer palmatum 'Saotome' Green Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Saotome' is an upright growing Japanese maple tree with broad, green leaves. 'Saotome' is a vigorous grower with a decidedly upright habit. The broad, flat leaves emerge bright green in the spring and turn a darker green in the summer. Fall color is ranged from yellow to orange. 'Saotome' will develop into an elegant small to medium upright green Japanese maple tree.

Acer palmatum ‘Nancy Ann’ is a delicate lace leaf Japanese maple with pinkish red leaves in the spring. These leaves change to orange then bronze then green in the summer. Acer palmatum 'Koyuki' Snowflake Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Koyuki' is a very interesting Japanese maple with an unusual leaf shape. This cultivar should not be confused with the reticulated variety by the same name. 'Koyuki' has green leaves with rounded lobes. These leaves turn a reddish orange color in the fall.
There is a similar variety called 'Koyamandi nishiki' that is known as the snowflake maple. 'Koyuki' translates to little snowflake which makes sense as these are two of the only varieties with this sort of rounded leaf shape.

Similar to that of ‘Katsura’ but on steroids. ‘Katsura hime’ displays a golden color with hints of yellows and oranges that really pops in the garden. Like ‘Katsura’, ‘Katsura hime’ is one of the very first trees to emerge in spring with its bright, showy leaves. The golden colors of ‘Katsura hime’ eventually fade to a light green or chartreuse by summer. Acer palmatum 'Yeager Dwarf' probably also known as just 'Yeager' is a dwarf Japanese maple with a very low growing and dense habit. This Japanese maple shares many of the common characteristics of the "hime" type Japanese maples with the small green leaves, dense foliage, and flat topped growth habit. 'Yeager Dwarf' is a great dwarf Japanese maple for bonsai or small gardens.

Acer palmatum 'Paisleigh' is a dwarf Japanese maple with large, dissected leaves. These leaves emerge in spring bright green, sometimes with a pinkish hue. These leaves then get an orange hue to them during the summer that is quite attractive. The fall color ranges from yellow to orange to red. 'Paisleigh' was originally found as a seedling from 'Autumn Fire'. We originally named this tree 'Summer Desire' based on the interesting colors the tree can have during the summer. However, it is now known as 'Paisleigh', named after my daughter Madelyn Paisleigh. The name also fits as the leaves are unusually shaped for a lace leaf Japanese Maple. The leaves are large and rounded with broad lobes. The shape of the leaves coupled with the array of colors that can be found at different times throughout the year gives the appearance of paisleys. This is a brand new variety introduced by Maple Ridge Nursery.

Acer palmatum ‘Dixie Rain’ is one of our newest introductions at Maple Ridge Nursery. ‘Dixie Rain’ has an interesting leaf shape for a broad leaf variety. The leaves are deeply divided making it almost appear as a cross between a broad leaf and a lace leaf. The growth habit is also unusual for most broad leaf varieties. While most broad leaves grow upright, with some exceptions, ‘Dixie Rain’ appears to spread rather than grow vertical. This variety is still in its infancy stage so we are still monitoring its growth. ‘Dixie Rain’ also has rather unique colors. ‘Dixie Rain’ will first emerge in early spring with orange-red leaves that quickly change to green. This green then remains through the rest of the spring and summer. The new growth that appears is also that orange-red color which gives the tree a striking contrast. Fall color is then yellow to orange, making ‘Dixie Rain’ a beautiful tree in the landscape.10 Year Size: Height: 5-7 feet Width: 5-7 feet
