Acer palmatum 'Cecilia' is a red Japanese maple with deeply divided leaves. 'Cecilia' was found as a chance seedling from 'Tamukeyama' and shares many of the color characteristics with its parent plant. The leaves of 'Cecilia' are dark red becoming bright red in the fall. The dark red color and leaf shape of 'Cecilia' give it contrast and differentiation from other red Japanese maple varieties. 'Cecilia' should grow well and hold its color even in hotter sunnier climates. 'Cecilia' is a moderately growing upright Japanese maple that should mature into a very attractive small to medium sized tree perfect for nearly any yard.  10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet   Width: 4-6 feet 

Acer palmatum ‘Beni fushigi’ is a corallinum type Japanese maple with incredible coral red spring color. The foliage of ‘Beni fushigi’ then turns green for most of the summer before it catches fire in the fall. 10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet Width: 4-6 feet

Yellow new leaves with red margins typify this 'Katsura' like small tree in early spring making the plant appear orange. By early summer the red edge fades but the yellow leaves hold on into summer longer than most trees of this type. By mid-summer the leaves have finally given in to the summers heat and changed to a nice shade of light green. Fall color is an interesting mix of red, yellow and orange. Acer palmatum 'Mon zukushi' is a fantastic Japanese maple that has large green leaves in the spring and summer. These leaves then turn to a bright orange-red in the fall. 'Mon zukushi' has a sturdy branch structure and develops into a beautifully shaped tree at maturity. 10 Year Size: Height: 8-10 feet   Width: 6-8 feet

This selection from Hefner's Nursery in Conover, NC is the latest edition to the better than 'Bloodgood' saga. Everyone is always looking for a 'Bloodgood' type tree that will tolerate sun and heat in hotter climates and stay red all summer long. 'Heffner's Red Select' is definitely better than 'Bloodgood' but as to whether or not this is the holy grail, the jury is still out. Either way this is a nice small round topped tree. Emerging bright red in spring, the foliage quickly turns a very dark burgundy. The dark color should hold well through summer in all but the hottest climates. Acer palmatum 'Lightning' is a red Japanese maple with deeply divided leaves. The leaves of 'Lightning' are red to purple in the spring and turn to a greenish color in the summer. The leaves then turn bright yellow in the fall which is where it gets its name! 'Lightning' has a somewhat dense and shrubby habit. The leaf shape and structure of 'Lightning' give it contrast and differentiation from other red Japanese maple varieties. 'Lightning' is a moderately growing upright Japanese maple that should mature into a very attractive small to medium sized tree with a dense and shrubby look.  10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet   Width: 4-6 feet

Acer palmatum 'Ao kanzashi' is a variegated Japanese maple with very small leaves. These small leaves have a light variegation along the edges of the leaves. At times in the spring these variegated edges can be a red color, but most of the year the edges are a creamy white or light green color. Fall color is an impressive orange and red. 10 Year Size: Height: 10-12 feet   Width: 4-6 feet

Pinus strobus 'Merrimack' is a dwarf variety of Eastern White Pine. Being an Eastern White Pine, 'Merrimack' is quite hardy in nearly every zone in America. This dwarf pine is a great addition to nearly every garden in America as it stays quite small and rounded. The light green foliage is very attractive and distinct from other evergreen varieties. 'Merrimack' typically grows larger than Pinus strobus 'Horsford' but stays smaller than Pinus strobus 'Nana'.

‘Lovett’ is an Acer japonicum that has a very nice growth habit forming a small round topped tree at maturity. 'Lovett' has slightly smaller leaves than many japonicums. Acer shirasawanum 'Purple Umbrella' Full Moon Japanese Maple is a dwarf broadleaf Japanese maple that has large dark purpleish red leaves. Fall color could be anywhere from bright red to deep maroon coloring.  It grows to around 8 feet tall and around 4 feet wide. It was named after the leaf color and shape when introduced by Crispin Silva from Crispin Creations. 

‘Spring Delight’ is a green weeping variety of Japanese maple that emerges in spring with light green leaves with pink edges. Acer palmatum 'Okukuji nishiki' is a fantastic variegated Japanese maple with pink and white edges to otherwise light green leaves. This variegation typically transitions to a creamy white in the summer giving 'Okukuji nishiki' excellent variegation through the spring and summer. These leaves appear bright green in the spring before darkening somewhat by summer time. In the fall 'Mimaye' displays a blast of color with leaves that turn from vibrant orange to deep red.
