Acer japonicum 'Gossamer' Full Moon Japanese Maple
from $39.00
‘Gossamer’ is reportedly a cross between Acer japonicum and Acer palmatum dissectum. This cultivar should probably be listed as Acer japonicum x palmatum 'Gossamer' if this is the case. I have not seen it listed that way. No matter what you call it this is one cool little tree and deserves more attention. Very slow growing when young eventually reaching 10 feet or more with age. The deeply divided foliage almost appears linearilobum like. Beautiful medium green color in spring turning gold, orange and red in autumn. 10 Year Size: Height: 3-5 Feet Width: 2-3 FeetSpring Color: GreenSummer Color: GreenFall Color: Gold, Orange, and RedSun Tolerance: Partial Shade

These leaves emerge bright red in the spring before maturing to a burgundy in late spring. By summer, most of the leaves turn to a dark green. Late summer then brings more bright red new growth. The foliage then turns bright red again in the fall. ‘Anna’s Broom’ has a very tight compact habit similar to most other varieties originating from witches brooms. 10 Year Size: Height: 2-4 Feet Width: 2-4 Feet
Acer palmatum 'Aoba jo' Dwarf Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Aratama' Dwarf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
'Aratama' is a very unusual, very attractive dwarf maple. In early spring the brick red leaves appear to be clumped on the long horizontal branches. As summer comes along the leaves change to a dark almost olive color and then to gold and orange in the fall. 'Aratama' means uncut gem which fits wonderfully because this little maple greatly benefits from occasional pruning of its sometimes unruly branches.10 year size: Height: 3-4 Feet Width: 3-4 Feet
Acer palmatum 'Beni hime' Dwarf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
'Beni hime' is a great, very small maple that comes out a bright red in spring. After the first big push on new grafts, which can be 4 to 6 inches long, 'Beni hime' becomes one of the slowest growing maples with annual growth rarely exceeding 1-2 inches. As the weather gets hotter in summer the older leaves turn dark green while the ever present new growth on the tips tends to stay bright red, although it seems quite ironic that a tree that stays so small should always have new growth. Beni hime is one of the best small plants for the landscape but always seems to be in short supply due to the fact that it can be difficult to propagate. Fall color is especially nice for a dwarf.10 year size: Height: 1-2 Feet Width: 1-2 Feet
