Pinus strobus 'Sea Urchin'
Pinus strobus ‘Sea Urchin’ is a fantastic dwarf Eastern white pine. ‘Sea Urchin’ is one of the very smallest and slowest growing of the dwarf versions of Pinus strobus. ‘Sea Urchin’ only grows about an inch or two per year and develops into a perfectly rounded, tiny specimen. ‘Sea Urchin’ also has exceptional silvery blue-green color. The small stature of ‘Sea Urchin’ make it the perfect plant for a rock garden or fairy garden. ‘Sea Urchin’ was discovered as a seedling in the 1970s by Dr. Sydney Waxman.
