The name actually comes from the color of the stems of the new growth rather than the color of the foliage itself. Very fast growing when young, 'Yellow Twig' seems too slow down with age. Old plants can attain heights over 20 Feet. The best plants I have seen were pruned some when young to thicken them up and then pretty much left alone.
