Pinus parviflora ‘Goldylocks’ is a dwarf Japanese white pine with golden variegation to otherwise green foliage. ‘Goldylocks’ is a short, upright growing pine that shouldn’t reach more than 4 feet at maturity if that. The golden color is best displayed in nearly full sun situations. ‘Goldylocks’ is also known for its small, attractive cones. ‘Goldylocks’ is most likely synonymous with Pinus Parviflora ‘Tenysu kazu’, however there is enough conflicting information that we keep both varieties labelled separately. Pictures were taken from our ‘Goldylocks’ growing in heavy shade. Notice the lack of golden color. The O.D. stands for Oculus Draconis, but this tree should not be confused with Pinus densiflora 'Oculus Draconis' although they both have similar Dragon's Eye golden variegation.
