Japanese Maples and Conifers

'Holden Arboretum' is a silver fir that grows wider than it grows tall. At maturity, you can expect 'Holden Arboretum' to get to 8 feet tall and around 10 feet wide. 

Pinus parviflora ‘Catherine Elizabeth’ is a dwarf selection of Japanese white pine introduced in the United Kingdom by John Proudfoot. ‘Catherine Elizabeth’ stays very small and only grows to about 1 to 2 feet tall at maturity. ‘Catherine Elizabeth’ is known for its small stature and short, blueish needles. ‘Catherine Elizabeth’ is the perfect Japanese White Pine cultivar for bonsai, rock gardens, or small landscapes. 10 Year Size: Height: 1-2 feet Width: 1-2 feet

Pinus mugo 'Big Tuna' is a Mugo pine that grows with a very dense and compact habit. 'Big Tuna' grows with an upright habit and grows slightly taller than it does wide. 'Big Tuna' has very attractive emerald green needles that create a nice, green shrub in the landscape. 'Big Tuna' is a dwarf mugo pine that is versatile and can be used in many locations in the landscape. 10 Year Size: Height: 5-7 feet   Width: 4-6 feet

Acer palmatum 'Aekan's Ie's' is a linearlobum style Japanese maple with dark leaves that turn bright red in the fall. At maturity, 'Aekan's Ie's' should get between 6-8 feet tall and feature a small tree shape. 

Thuja occidentalis 'Sunkist' is a fast growing arborvitae with excellent golden yellow color. Few conifers can match the golden yellow color of 'Sunkist'. 'Sunkist' will grow into a large, broad conifer at maturity with a dense and thick structure. This makes 'Sunkist' an excellent border or privacy plant with excellent color. 10 Year Size: Height: 8-10 feet   Width: 4-6 feet

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nicky' is a rare dwarf Hinoki cypress with emerald green foliage. 'Nicky' has an upright and conical growth habit but stays miniature even at maturity. 'Nicky' is a very slow grower that works great for bonsai or rock gardens. 10 Year Size: Height: 2-3 feet   Width: 1-2 feet

Pinus parviflora 'Ogon' is a variegated Japanese White Pine that is sure to brighten up your garden. 'Ogon' has short, blue green needles with golden variegation throughout. 'Ogon' has a short pyramidal shape that should fit in most landscapes.  10 Year Size: Height: 4-6 feet   Width: 2-4 feet

Abies koreana 'Vengels' is dwarf variety of Korean fir. This dwarf fir has a decidedly upright growth habit with an open branch structure. The foliage has typical silver-blue needles. 'Vengels' also has very unique, dark blue cones that are irregularly shaped.  10 Year Size: Height: 4-6 feet   Width: 2-4 feet

Picea orientalis 'Tom Thumb' is a very small growing oriental spruce with golden yellow color. 'Tom Thumb' will grow into a short, rounded shrub at maturity. 'Tom Thumb' has bright gold newer foliage that extends from the lighter green branches. This is a very attracive dwarf spruce that will lighten up any garden as it can fit in any location imaginable.  10 Year Size: Height: 1-2 feet   Width: 1-2 feet 

Acer palmatum 'Paisleigh' is a dwarf Japanese maple with large, dissected leaves. These leaves emerge in spring bright green, sometimes with a pinkish hue. These leaves then get an orange hue to them during the summer that is quite attractive. The fall color ranges from yellow to orange to red. 'Paisleigh' was originally found as a seedling from 'Autumn Fire'. We originally named this tree 'Summer Desire' based on the interesting colors the tree can have during the summer. However, it is now known as 'Paisleigh', named after my daughter Madelyn Paisleigh. The name also fits as the leaves are unusually shaped for a lace leaf Japanese Maple. The leaves are large and rounded with broad lobes. The shape of the leaves coupled with the array of colors that can be found at different times throughout the year gives the appearance of paisleys. This is a brand new variety introduced by Maple Ridge Nursery. 10 Year Size: Height: 4-6 feet   Width: 4-6 feet
