Picea abies 'Dandylion' is an excellent weeping Norway spruce full of color. The primary color of the foliage is a bright golden yellow. In the spring 'Dandylion' will produce small pink cones at the ends of the long golden branches. 'Dandylion' has a low spreading habit that is quite graceful. This is definitely one of the most unique spruces that we have ever grown.

This selection from Hefner's Nursery in Conover, NC is the latest edition to the better than 'Bloodgood' saga. Everyone is always looking for a 'Bloodgood' type tree that will tolerate sun and heat in hotter climates and stay red all summer long. 'Heffner's Red Select' is definitely better than 'Bloodgood' but as to whether or not this is the holy grail, the jury is still out. Either way this is a nice small round topped tree. Emerging bright red in spring, the foliage quickly turns a very dark burgundy. The dark color should hold well through summer in all but the hottest climates.
