Grafted Trees

Acer palmatum 'Umegae' is a striking Japanese maple known for its large, dark mahogany-colored leave. This tree grows to about 12 feet tall at maturity, making it a great choice for mid-sized landscapes. In the fall, Umegae dazzles with a brilliant display of orange and crimson red foliage, adding a vibrant pop of color to the autumn landscape. 

Acer palmatum ‘Killarney’ is a nice broad leaf Japanese maple that has more of a spreading habit than the majority of broad leaf Japanese Maples. ‘Killarney’ has deeply divided leaves that emerge light green in spring. These leaves mature to a darker green for most of the summer. Fall color is an outstanding yellow and orange. 10 Year Size: Height: 6-8 feet Width: 4-6

Picea orientalis 'Lil Sky' is a dwarf variety of golden oriental spruce. 'Lil sky' will provide excellent golden yellow color to the garden. Cryptomeria japonica ‘Vilmoriniana’ is a dwarf Japanese Cedar with a dense shape. ‘Vilmoriniana’ has stiff green branches that turn bronze in the winter. ‘Vilmoriniana’ grows very slowly and develops into an irregular shaped shrub.10 Year Size: Height: 2-4 feet Width: 1-2 feet

Acer palamtum 'Kandy Kitchen' was found as a witches broom in Pennsylvania by Joe Stupka of Stupka Nursery in the late 1990's. This small upright shrub like tree boasts a wide array of colors, appearing first cherry red but then as the older leaves darken to maroon, new more pink leaves emerge at the tips. 'Ruby de Sofia' is a beautiful reticulated variety that has fantastic colorations of pink and white in the spring. Those colors then turn to green for the summer, still maintaining the reticulated style. 'Ruby de sofia' earned it's name by putting on a brilliant showing of ruby red leaves in fall. This tree was introduced by Angel Mendoza and named after his daughter Sofia. We are also quite partial to this tree; in addition to it's amazing colors and growing habits, we also have a daughter Sophia who's birthstone is Ruby!   

Cephalotaxus harringtonia ‘Prostrata’ is a spreading Japanese Plum Yew that grows very well in the hotter regions of the United States. ‘Prostrata’ is a versatile plant that can be planted by itself or in groupings to create a ground cover. ‘Prostrata’ can also be planted in many different soils and sun situations. ‘Prostrata’ will grow well in shade or partial sun in hotter climates, and can handle full sun in cooler regions.10 Year Size: Height: 1-3 feet Width:3-6 feet

Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Torulosa’ is an upright, conical evergreen. The tips of the branches on this hinoki cypress twist and curl and even fuse together to make interesting fasciations. ‘Torulosa’ is a relatively small growing tree that will only reach about 5 feet tall over ten years. Acer palmatum ‘Anna’s Broom’ is a dwarf Japanese maple with uniquely shaped leaves. The leaves are much more divided than most dwarf varieties of this style. These leaves emerge bright red in the spring before maturing to a burgundy in late spring. By summer, most of the leaves turn to a dark green. Late summer then brings more bright red new growth. The foliage then turns bright red again in the fall. ‘Anna’s Broom’ has a very tight compact habit similar to most other varieties originating from witches brooms. 10 Year Size: Height: 2-4 Feet Width: 2-4 Feet
