Thuja plicata ‘Whipcord’ is a dwarf form or Western red cedar with some of the most unique foliage you will ever see. ‘Whipcord’ gets its name from this unusually long and stringy foliage. The branches look like long cords. ‘Whipcord’ develops into a dense mound with time getting no bigger than a couple feet tall at maturity. The abundance of long, cordlike branches on mature specimens is a very attractive appearance and a must have for nearly any garden.
