Acer oliverianum ‘Hot Blonde’ is One of the Best Yellow Japanese Maples in Existence

'Hot Blonde' emerges in the spring with big yellow leaves with reddish orange edges to the leaves. These yellow leaves grow brighter as spring persists. Towards the middle of summer the yellow will fade to more of a chartreuse green which is still quite striking among the more mundane summer colors. In the fall 'Hot Blonde' will put on a show with some of the brightest red foliage you will see on any kind of tree. It is truly stunning and can be seen a mile away.

I received a healthy Hot Blonde and it’s doing fine in the hot weather. New leaves have some orange pink colors and just needs some time to get more growth and fill out

My little tree…

All is well and good. I put the tree in a two gallon air pruning pot. Tonight we are supposed to get some much needed rain. Perfect time for that. Next year I will set the tree into the wild. 😜
