Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Split Rock’ is a dwarf form of hinoki cypress with soft, delicate foliage. The foliage of this small hinoki has mixtures of green, blue and yellow. Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Sunny Swirl’ is an excellent dwarf conifer that twisted branches that set this plant apart. Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘Snow’ is a dwarf Sawahara false cypress with a very short, squatty habit. ‘Snow will form a small, dense ball over time. ‘Snow gets its name from the light grey, bluish color that this dwarf conifer exhibits. Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘Snow’ grows at an extremely slow rate of only about an inch or so per year. However, ‘Snow’ works very well as a companion plant in small gardens. 'Albo Spica' is a loosely upright Crytptomeria with new foliage that is pure white creating a conifer with a surprising effect. In many climates 'Albo Spica' will tolerate full sun but in hotter climates it will appreciate partial shade.
