Acer palmatum 'Ao shime no uchi' Strap Leaf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
‘Ao shime no chi’ is an interesting linearilobum type Japanese maple that may have 3, 5 or even 7 lobed leaves. In early spring the lobes are quite narrow becoming more broad as summer arrives. Late season new growth has decidedly wider lobes and may even appear palmate. The overall shape of the tree is quite graceful becoming  just about as broad as it is tall with maturity. 'Ao shime no uchi' is a great plant for containers and tolerates sun very well, although it is best when given a break from a full days sun in hotter climates. Fall color can range from orange to gold early then eventually turning mostly yellow. 10 year size:  Height: 5-7 Feet   Width: 5-7 FeetSpring Color: GreenSummer Color: GreenFall Color: Yellow, OrangeSun Exposure: PartialPlanting: Elevated, Well Drained Soil

Acer palmatum 'Aocha nishiki' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Aocha nishiki' Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘Aocha nishiki’ is a small tree that will become almost as wide as it is tall with age. The name translates to green-yellow but 'Aocha nishiki' is mostly known for it's creamy yellow variegation, unfortunately this almost never shows up in hot climates. Not to worry, the bright chartreuse color of early spring leaves makes this tree a great addition to any garden. If that were not enough we usually get a replay of the spring display in late summer this time it is even more striking because the new chartreuse growth really contrasts to the older green foliage. Fall color is orange to gold.10 Year size: Height:  7-9  Feet    Width:  5-7  Feet

Acer palmatum 'Aoyagi' Green Bark Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Acer palmatum ‘Aoyagi’ means green coral and the green coral bark  is considered to be the most outstanding feature of this tree. The leaves in spring come out an amazing chartreuse before turning more green in summer. Fall color is yellow.10 Year size:  Height:  8-10  Feet    Width:  6-8  Feet

Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace' - mapleridgenursery Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace' Dwarf Lace Leaf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
Introduced by Billy Schwartz of Green Mansions Nursery, 'Baby Lace' was the first witches broom discovered on a dissectum. The leaves are small, intricate and just about as finely dissected as 'Red Filigree Lace' only much more irregular. In spring the color is astounding, with pink, red and green all mixed together but as the new growth hardens off the color quickly becomes a solid light green.  Fall color is a nice mix of yellows, oranges and reds. Although 'Baby Lace' is a highly sought after cultivar, it is hard to find in the trade due to the fact that it is rather slow growing and can be difficult to propagate.10 Year Size:  Height:  2-4 Feet    Width:  3-5 Feet

Acer palmatum 'Baldsmith' Lace Leaf Japanese Maple
from $49.00
In spring, ‘Baldsmith’ has leaves that emerge much more of a deep red than the burgundy color of most "red" Japanese Maples. Soon after, most of the leaf turns green leaving just the margins a very attractive red. The red and green of the bi color leaf at this stage makes the overall tree appear almost orange and gives it a very distinctive appearance. In some climates this look lasts well into the summer but in hotter climates where some afternoon shade would be greatly appreciated, 'Baldsmith' fades to green as summer takes hold. Fall color ranges from yellow to red to orange. Acer palmatum 'Beni hime' - mapleridgenursery Acer palmatum 'Beni hime' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Beni hime' Dwarf Japanese Maple
from $39.00
'Beni hime' is a great, very small maple that comes out a bright red in spring. After the first big push on new grafts, which can be 4 to 6 inches long, 'Beni hime' becomes one of the slowest growing maples with annual growth rarely exceeding 1-2 inches. As the weather gets hotter in summer the older leaves turn dark green while the ever present new growth on the tips tends to stay bright red, although it seems quite ironic that a tree that stays so small should always have new growth. Beni hime is one of the best small plants for the landscape but always seems to be in short supply due to the fact that it can be difficult to propagate. Fall color is especially nice for a dwarf.10 year size:  Height:  1-2 Feet    Width:  1-2 Feet

Acer palmatum 'Beni komachi' - mapleridgenursery
Acer palmatum 'Beni komachi' Corallinum Japanese Maple
$39.00
Acer palmatum ‘Beni komachi’ is one of the most unique Japanese maples in existence. The name means red beautiful little girl, and aptly describes this attractive maple. Emerging foliage in spring is red but turns to a dark purple fairly quick. As the summer heat approaches the small crinkled leaves turn a very nice dark green but remain edged in purple giving this plant one of the most unique textures in the garden. 'Beni komachi' is slow growing but will eventually grow into a small tree. Fast growing stems with large atypical leaves should be removed. 'Beni komachi' prefers to be protected from afternoon sun in hot climates. 10 year size:   Height: 5-7 Feet   Width: 3-4 Feet
