Great service
After much online research for a reputable Japanese maple nursery, we ordered 3 varieties of Japanese maple trees from Maple Ridge Nursery. The Oshio Beni was the smallest one at 1 gallon, but that didn’t mean it isn’t as beautiful or as big as the other two 3 gallon maples we purchased. The Oshio Beni maple came sturdily strapped inside a tall cardboard box, and the planting bucket was wrapped & tapped to prevent soil loss during shipment. Upon arrival it was the smallest maple tree of the three with fuzzy leaf buds starting to form. I say “was” the smallest, because after a few days the fuzzy buds leafed out revealing beautiful broad light purple colored leaves. (We planted our maples within a few days of receipt). And, it definitely sprouted up some in a matter of weeks-we have had this tree for about 3 weeks now. While the tree trunk is slimmer than the 3 gallon varieties we also purchased (both are mounding dwarf varieties), the Oshio Beni has almost caught up in spread and height to one of the other red lace leaf Japanese maple purchased at the same time. We couldn’t be happier that we received such beautiful and healthy maples from Maple Ridge Nursery. Thank you so much for our lovely maples!

from 812 reviewsThis is Colorado at about 6,800 ft. elevation. This Bell Green was just planted last spring in a lot of sun. I provided a bit of shading this summer to give it a good start and it has done well. The color really is a bright red - the picture may not do it justice. I look forward to how this will look in the future.
This was planted less than 1 year ago on a hillside in mostly full sun and has done well. It has good fall color (see picture - sorry not the best picture). This is Colorado at about 6,800 ft. elevation. I've seen -17 deg F here in the past so this is really zone 5a. This Tobiosho saw about -7 deg F last winter (that's zone 6a) and suffered no harm. I really like this tree. The picture shows fall color (the red leaves).
The plant is small which is in fact perfect for my balcony. It arrived quickly, was well wrapped and in good shape with no leaf loss.
I ordered this plant together with another maple. The only concern I had was that the box the plants came in had collapsed in the middle on arrival. Luckily both plants were unharmed.
Well packaging, arrived with good condition. I am very happy with that.
Very satisfied with trees.Order was shipped within a few days packed very good. Looking forward to watching them fill out.
Thanks, Bill
So far great you guys have my business thanks
Love the color in the plant and leaves. They’re kind of small but compared to some I’ve gotten from other companies but very healthy and I’m very satisfied.
Fantastic quality maple as always, excited to see this one's brilliance in fall.

We are constantly putting trees in larger pots to allow them to grow and not become root bound. Therefore, many of our trees may have loose dirt in the pot until the roots fill out the container.
All of our Japanese Maples are grafted with a side veneer graft unless specifically stated as seedlings. This style of grafting is most commonly used in the nursery industry and allows these trees to still become excellent bonsai as the graft scar will be no longer visible when the trees age.
