Pinus Strobus ‘Shaggy Dog’ is a dwarf form of Eastern white pine. ‘Shaggy Dog’ forms a rounded mound with soft green foliage. ‘Shaggy Dog’ has a more spreading habit than many of the other dwarf forms of Eastern white pines which have more of a dense habit. ‘Shaggy Dog’ was discovered as a seedling in the 1980s by Dr. Sydney Waxman. 10 Year Size: Height: 2-4 feet Width: 2-4 feet

Pinus strobus ‘Sea Urchin’ is a fantastic dwarf Eastern white pine. ‘Sea Urchin’ is one of the very smallest and slowest growing of the dwarf versions of Pinus strobus. ‘Sea Urchin’ only grows about an inch or two per year and develops into a perfectly rounded, tiny specimen. ‘Sea Urchin’ also has exceptional silvery blue-green color. Pinus strobus ‘Nana’ is a dwarf form of Eastern white pine. ‘Nana’ forms an evenly shaped tree in both height and width. The foliage of ‘Nana’ has a soft, fluffy appearance with longish blue-green needles. ‘Nana’ translates to dwarf which makes sense for this attractive little Eastern white pine. The golden color is best displayed in nearly full sun situations. ‘Tenysu kazu’ is also known for its small, attractive cones. ‘Tenysu kazu’ is most likely synonymous with Pinus Parviflora ‘Goldylocks’, however ‘Tenysu kazu’ is believed to be the proper name. There is enough conflicting information though that we keep both varieties labelled separately. Pinus parviflora ‘Fukai’ is a small, upright growing Japanese white pine with variegated needles. The green needles have bands of golden yellow across them creating a striking appearance in the foliage. There are many times during the year that the foliage is a more standard blueish green, but when the variegation shows, this tree really pops. The needles are also a little thicker with a wavy flow. ‘Fukai’ is a fairly fast grower that matures to about 6 feet tall. 'Yellow Twig' is a pyramidal Japanese cedar that will thrive in either full sun or dark shade. In sun the new growth will be light green and the older foliage will be medium green. In shade the new growth will be more chartreuse, almost glowing, and the older foliage will be darker green. The name actually comes from the color of the stems of the new growth rather than the color of the foliage itself. Very fast growing when young, 'Yellow Twig' seems to slow down with age. Old plants can attain heights over 20 Feet.
