This 1 gallon Acer palmatum 'Riley', has symmetrical branching and a lovely form. I'm very happy with this purchase from Maple Ridge Nursery
This was a new variety to me and I wanted to observe it and plant it in the Nature Preserve. The Spring color is a deep raspberry color and by mid-summer, its color became a deep plum and depending on the light of the day, it can appear almost black. The Autumn color turned a rich crimson color. The leaves lay horizontal as the season progresses and I am thrilled with this outstanding variety. I photographed it and wrote about it in Volume Two of my books. I enjoyed it so much; I just bought another one. Thank you for this amazing tree.
I recently bought from you, Riley, a Japanese maple. She was a little worse the wear for traveling. All her leaves were dead. Not being a novice gardener, I knew she just needed some TLC. But someone else might have thought she was dead. 2 wks now and she has new buds and new growth. She'll be a beauty. Just letting you know. Thank you!

What I like about this tree are a few things. The narrow grow habit, dark, very dark, green foliage, short needles, compacted growth. Very happy with this tree also arrived in great condition. All the trees I received from this nursery came in great healthy condition. If you like Japanese maples and conifers, I recommend give this nursery chance.
My first Banshosho, what a pretty little tree. Bright green foliage, short needles somewhat darker, brown bark, looks gorgeous. Couple of days after receiving it. I went on site to buy a couple more, it was sold out. I might’ve got the last one :)
I will definitely be checking the site to at least buy one more, if not too.

I am really glad I found this website and store. I was looking for a specific plant, a reis dwarf cypress, and sure enough Maple Ridge had it and shipped it. It arrived about a week and a half after ordering. The outside box was pretty beat up looking so I was a bit skeptical at first but after unboxing the plants inside were un damaged. I planted them immediately and they seem to be doing great so far. I love the look of these and can’t wait to see them grow in my yard.
The trees arrived very well packaged and moist when they arrived. They were smaller than I expected. I planted them within 48 hours. They seem to be establishing, it's a bit early to tell how it will go.

All is well and good. I put the tree in a two gallon air pruning pot. Tonight we are supposed to get some much needed rain. Perfect time for that. Next year I will set the tree into the wild. 😜
