I cannot wait for spring to see them leaf out and then bonsai them.
Great product. I love it so far but it was damaged in shipping. The top was broken off and the box was crushed. I haven’t gotten a reply about it though and i sent two emails.
Everything is great, tree appears to be doing well here. About to get mid 90s soon, will see what happens. Thanks
Purchased a Japanese red maple a couple weeks ago. Ended up planting it like a bonsai tree. Amazing purchase and shipping process. The people I communicated with were so thoughtful and caring of the style of tree I was looking for. When the tree was chosen and sent, it was packaged with such care that I have no doubt that they have perfected the shipping process of live trees. When it arrived it looked beautiful and healthy. Once I planted it and gave it its first watering, it appeared to have already taken to the new environment. The leaves grew more vibrant to the point that the tree almost began to shine. I’ll definitely be buying more trees in the near future. And this experience makes me confident that I’ll be returning here for my next one. Thanks guys!
Great trees, great price and great customer service

from 959 reviewsI received ten beautiful, healthy Japanese maples. They were timely shipped with some of the best packaging for trees that I’ve seen. Every tree is healthy and beautiful! I am extremely pleased with my purchases! Will be ordering from them again and again. Thank you to Michael’s sweet daughters who wrote sweet notes on the inside of the box flaps of the first box I received. I love supporting family businesses.
My little Acer Japonicum Fairy Lights arrived today in excellent condition! She is so beautiful and very healthy. I planted her upon arrival in a 3 gallon container. Can’t wait to see this little beauty in her Fall glory! Thank you Maple Ridge! I will definitely be a return customer!
Well, I had one before ; it was so beautiful in my big red pot. This new one is tiny. So, it will take some time to grow to that size again. We shall see!
My wife says I have a tree problem. More specifically a japanese maple problem. Time will tell if this scotch pine is just a fling.
Tree is very sturdy. Wish they have bigger size to buy. Will come back for future purchase
I'm really enjoying the trees I get from Maple Ridge Nursery. They are healthy looking and ready for planting in my garden or happy in their pots!
I need to buy bigger plants running out of time
I thought this tree was a different cultivars when I bought it; however, I was not disappointed. It is a beautiful Acer P and arrived in good health. I am looking forward to seeing what it displays in the coming seasons.
'Mahogany' is an outstanding cultivar that deserves to be in anyone's top 10 list of Japanese maples. It's Spring color is a beautiful and rich mahogany color that stands out from the other more commonly known red-leaf cultivars. It can take full sun during the Summer months in growing zones that exist in the Southeastern United States. I have grown one at the Michigan Preserve and now at the NY Preserve.
Arrived in perfect condition thanks
This was one of four trees I purchased from Maple Ridge Nursery. All 4 arrived healthy and beautiful. Will buy from again.

With my studies of over 900 different cultivars of Japanese Maples, this Acer Dissectum is a true standout. I have pushed it to its limited regarding direct Summer sunlight and at no time did it lose its color and vitality. It also withstood winter temperatures dropping to -30 below zero F (-34.4 C) without any twig dieback. I recently purchased this Dissectum for the NY Preserve and I planted it just today, May 27, 2026.
Thank you for all of the great trees over the many years of buying from you.

We are constantly putting trees in larger pots to allow them to grow and not become root bound. Therefore, many of our trees may have loose dirt in the pot until the roots fill out the container.
All of our Japanese Maples are grafted with a side veneer graft unless specifically stated as seedlings. This style of grafting is most commonly used in the nursery industry and allows these trees to still become excellent bonsai as the graft scar will be no longer visible when the trees age.
