The tree(s) arrived quickly, packed well and very healthy. My review is more about the nursery.
My obsession/addiction kicked in in 2023. In 2024 I decided to compare some of the different mail order vendors of JMs. Different pot sizes makes comparison difficult. Some vendors may only have #1's of what I am after, while others only have #5. I was very pleased with my first 2 trees from Maple Ridge (Sunny Full moon, and Katsura- both #3). So pleased that I have 2 more in transit. Again, comparison has been difficult but at this point, I would have to put MRN very near the top. Between some extreme weather with not the best soil a few of my trees were looking rough, but the 2 from MRN always looked good. (we had extreme heat and high winds followed by unexpected downpours and high humidity, but Katsura and sunny (and a few others ) looked very nice)

from 689 reviewsI received a beautiful little ‘Anne Irene’ maple. It was very securely packaged and had no damage at all. It looked like I had picked it up locally and not like it had traveled across the country in a box. I am so happy that I found this nursery! I’ll be back!

I have been collecting and living with Japanese maples, everyday for 25 years, and 'Ao Shidare' was a cultivar was an illusive that is until I found it here at Maple Ridge Nursery. I was thrilled to see it here several years ago, but it was unavailable. But now, I have one to add to my collection of almost 900 different varieties, and now it will be planted at the New York Nature Preserve, amongst hundreds of other Japanese maples living with indigineous forest trees. I have purchased many trees from this outstanding nursery and I will continue to purchase Japanese maples from them. Thank you.

The tree is beautiful and healthy.

The colors this tree is giving since i got it are amazing.Very healthy tree and definitely a favorite

Outstanding service outstanding product they go out of their way to make sure your trees get to you in excellent health not like the other nurseries where they don't give a damn all they do is take your money and send you a dead tree or die in tree these folks is family-runned they love their job they take care of their trees and all you get is excellent healthy tree with all the Care in the world it's a family run I recommended and support them from all the nurseries I dealt with they're the best

The Dwarf Japanese Maple is going improve how our yard appearance & better suited to the required maintenance over time. This has been in the planning for the
overall yard design.

Koto ito Kamachi is an eye-catching JM with narrow feathery green leaves that sway in the slightest breeze. Very delicate looking! The one-gallon size that was delivered was well shaped and just the height expected.

I appreciate very much the time and care you took in growing such a beautiful tree and packing it with great care. The quality of the tree is evident of your expertise and careI hope it will be very happy here, and I look forward to working with you in the future.

This Nursery is outstanding it's a family-owned and they're really really love what they're doing and they do an outstanding job I dealt with other nurseries and I was always disappointed when I get the trees from the packaging and the health of the trees here I never was disappointed the packaging was done outstanding the health of the trees was like unbelievable and what I love about him is the contact you before the ship it and they ask you how you want your trees short big in any way you want it and then once you tell him the way you want it that's exactly the way you receive I support this family I support this Nursery or anybody up there who wants trees stick with this Nursery support them because not only they do an outstanding job because their love what they do and it shows

I ordered these after seeing bigger and MUCH more expensive ones at a local nursery. I wanted younger ones so I could keep them in planters on my back patio for a few years until they needed to go in the ground. They arrived well secured. Unfortunately, UPS was less than kind to the box. 3 of the 4 trees were unharmed but 1 of the 2 Fireglow maples had its top 2 sprouts broken off. The trees otherwise appear in good condition. They are now happily in their planters with a smart watering system and soil sensors to make sure they don't roast in the summer heat. I look forward to many years of the gorgeous red leaves!

I recently ordered 14 Japanese Maples. They all arrived in excellent condition. They all seem to be thriving. Your nursery has great customer focus and because of that I will order from you again. Asking customers for reviews multiple times does not become you and you should stop.
The plant arrived in great shape and was packed very well! the unboxing and planting instructions were spot on and easy to follow, along with the initial care tips!

Beautiful tree. The pink around the edges of the new leaves is amazing. Can’t wait for it to get bigger

The tree arrived in perfect condition.

We are constantly putting trees in larger pots to allow them to grow and not become root bound. Therefore, many of our trees may have loose dirt in the pot until the roots fill out the container.
All of our Japanese Maples are grafted with a side veneer graft unless specifically stated as seedlings. This style of grafting is most commonly used in the nursery industry and allows these trees to still become excellent bonsai as the graft scar will be no longer visible when the trees age.
