I planted it according to instructions and first the colored ends of the leaves turned brown. This morning I noticed two large leaf sections were all brown and fell off when I touched them. Since we are heading into fall then inter, I’m concerned that I won’t be able to tell if my tree has died, within the 3 month guarantee window.

My conifers came carefully packed and healthy looking. Great care was definitely taken to ensure the transit would not disturbed the plants and it shows!
My maple arrived all boxed up and wonderfully packaged. The maple is the perfect size for me to start getting into bonsai. I love the leaf color and look forward to seeing it grow.
'Takao' is an old cultivar dating back to 1695 and recorded in Japanese literature. I purchased my first 'Takao' in 2006 and planted it at the Michigan Preserve when I arrived there in 2009. It is an amazing cultivar noted for its Autumn color as pictured here. I now have one at the New York Preserve and I will add, finding these older cultivar are becoming more difficult to find as there are many "new" cultivars with all the "Bells and Whistles" to dazzle the eyes of many collectors. These traditional cultivars are as beautiful if not more so than the new trees on the block. I took this photograph at the Michigan Preserve in 2016.
Everything arrived in great condition, and it's such a great little tree! It's on my front porch, the first thing anyone sees should they step up to my door, which is pretty much just the Amazon and UPS driver, but still. Great service, great product.
I have had my 1 gal tree since mid summer. I originally had it planned for a small space in the back of my JM garden. When I got this tree there was no way it was going to be tucked away in the far corner of my yard. I decided to keep it in a pot on my deck just so I could see it every day. It is getting dappled sunlight most of the day and has been a gentle yellow with peach blush all summer. Now, in September, it is changing to a deeper blush of peach on the yellow leaves. It is definitely one of my favorite JM.
..in it's 1 gal pot. I've had the tree for a couple weeks and it looks better every day. I am always happy with the JM I receive from Maple Ridge.
