'Aoba jo' is a unique dwarf that has large Summer leaves as compared to so many other dwarf varieties. I have been purchasing Japanese maples from Maple Ridge Nursery for years and I have always been so satisfied with the trees I have received. I will continue to purchase trees from them, as with having over 870 different varieties, they continue to offer unique and rare cultivars that have become difficult to locate. This was my first order with Maple Ridge Nursery and I am amazed at their great customer service and communications. I ordered the Emerald Isle Japanese Maple and it is a cute well formed tree. Acer palmatum 'Ichigyoji' is not a common JM and is difficult to find. The little tree I got from Maple Ridge has a nice shape and is growing nicely.
Suffered a little probably because it was shipped during hot weather but seems to be getting over the shock. Very well packed for the trip.
From purchase to arrival, everything was great. Emperor, for me, purple gohst and sunny for my wife. Typical shock from transplant. Super happy. Great communication on the side of a little too much, but better than not enough. Thanks guys.

Thank you for my dwarf coral bark japanese maple. I just planted in a bigger container until my yard gets done, it will be planted next to a water feature. I would like to enquire about the Anne Irene japanese maple, do you sell them in a 3 gal or 5 gal?

The tree arrived in great condition (Oct. 2024). This is zone 5A, but it seemed to have no problem with the winter. After leafing out this spring has since grown about 6-8 inches taller in a second burst of branches that reach mostly upward. I monitor it daily and have provided it some additional shade during really hot days to help it from the intense sunshine here. I am very pleased with Maple Ridge Nursery and would definitely buy from them again (and have).
Lots of branching and good size already!! Another neat cultivar hard to find around. Was really pleased to see how healthy it was upon arrival. Packaging, as always was top notch and everything arrived safetly.
