Acer palmatum 'Hanami Nishiki'

With a name that translates to flower viewing you would think 'Hanmi Nishiki' would blow you away with color and beauty. Almost, 'Hanami Nishiki' delivers on the promise for a few weeks in early spring with red edges to the emerging light green leaves. For the rest of the summer it becomes a densely twiggy shrub type maple almost round, slightly taller than wide. Fall color is yellow to orange.
